# Product <!-- impeccable:product-schema 1 --> <!-- Written by directionforge at intake from the approved design/brief.md. Demo run: brief authored by Claude. --> ## Platform web ## Stack delegated: static HTML/CSS/JS prototypes served from design/ (no framework, no build step). ## Users Owners of small ceramic studios (1–3 kilns, 20–200 members) who run bookings on spreadsheets, group chats and a whiteboard by the kiln. ## Product Purpose Kilnward (fictional) puts class and open-studio bookings, kiln load planning and firing schedules, and member shelf tracking in one place. The landing page's job: get a studio owner to start a free trial. Primary CTA "Start free trial" in the hero and repeated at the end. ## Positioning The studio's week in one place, built around the kiln rather than around generic calendars. ## Operating Context Owners read this between classes, often on a phone, sometimes on a shared studio laptop. ## Capabilities and Constraints Claimable capabilities: bookings for classes and open studio, kiln load planning, firing schedules (bisque/glaze), member shelf tracking, notifications when a firing is done. Everything else is synthetic and labelled. Never invent prices, customers, testimonials, logos or statistics. ## Brand Commitments none: each direction sets its own palette and type within the guardrails. Guardrails (verbatim from brief): Always: - The primary CTA "Start free trial" in the hero and again at the end of the page. - Show the product's real job (a firing schedule, a booking week, a shelf list) with synthetic data, labelled as sample data. - One accent colour family; everything else near-neutral. - Clear contrast between display type and text type. - Image slots reserved with flat stand-ins, never filled. Never: - Purple or blue-violet gradients, glows or mesh backgrounds. - Glossy 3D blobs, orbs or abstract floating shapes. - A row of icon + three-word feature cards. - Inter or system fonts as the only typefaces. - Emoji, fake testimonials, fake customer logos, invented statistics. - Rounded-everything: no card radius above 12px, no pill-shaped sections. ## Evidence on Hand Synthetic only. No real customers, logos, testimonials or figures. No imagery: image slots are reserved. ## Product Principles Calm and tactile, made by people who have loaded a kiln. It should read like a well-kept studio, not like a software company. ## Accessibility & Inclusion WCAG 2.2 AA: 4.5:1 body text, 3:1 large text and UI boundaries, visible focus, keyboard reachable, no information by colour alone, reduced motion respected, 24px minimum targets.
